No classes at Pleasant Bay School, some weather alerts remain for Cape Breton

The Strait Regional Centre for Education says classes are cancelled at Pleasant Bay School Friday due to weather conditions.

Environment Canada weather alerts have ended for most of the province except parts of Cape Breton.

Special weather statements still call for up to 15 cm of wet heavy snow and strong east winds for Inverness (south of Mabou), Richmond, and Cape Breton counties, and Sydney Metro.

A snowfall warning for up to 20 cm remains for Victoria County.

A les suêtes wind warning is in effect for Inverness County – Mabou and north with maximum easterly gusts to 120 km/h.
