Motorcycle driver dead after head-on collision

A 20-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle hit a truck head-on Monday morning.

RCMP say they responded to a report of a collision between a Yamaha TW200 motorcycle and a Ford F150, which were travelling in opposite directions on Lawrence Road in Union Corner.

The motorcycle driver, a man from Mantua, died at the scene, according to a news release.

The truck driver, a 27-year-old Union Corner man, and a passenger, a 29-year-old Wolfville man, were uninjured, police say.

Lawrence Road was closed for several hours but since reopened.

The investigation continues.
