Sgt. Natasha Farrell appointed District Commander of Guysborough RCMP

There is a new District Commander for the Guysborough County District RCMP.

Sergeant Natasha Farrell has been appointed to the role.

An Antigonish native, Sgt. Farrell graduated from the RCMP Depot in 2006 and has worked in places like Fort McMurray, Calgary and Sherbrooke and is currently part of the NS RCMP Crisis Negotiation Team.

She says in a statement, she has a passion for policing and is looking forward to getting to know the unique needs of each area.

“The great thing about the District of Guysborough is that the residents are already so involved. Through town halls and other forums, my team and I will get important input so that we can set goals and achieve the desired outcomes in each jurisdiction.”

She says she feels extremely fortunate to work in this part of the province.

“I spent so much of my childhood here, and I’m happy to serve the community in my current role.”
