RCMP is investigating two suspicious fires that happened Saturday in Pictou County.
At about 1:20 a.m., RCMP learned a vehicle was on fire in a parking lot near Exit 27 of Highway 104 in Sutherlands River. When officers arrived, they found an empty Nissan Rogue engulfed in flames, according to a news release.
A short time later, officers got a call about an abandoned mill on Shores Road in Egerton, which was fully engulfed in flames, and fire fighters were already on the scene, police say.
RCMP say they believe the building was empty at the time.
Officers are investigating the fires, which they believe are related.
