A Gaelic school in Mabou is getting provincial funding.
A grant of $120,000 was given to the only Gaelic immersion school in the province.
Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage minister Allan MacMaster says Gaelic is more than just a heritage language in our province, it’s a way of seeing and sharing the world with others.
He says while many haven’t taken this path, they want to support the students in their journey.
The independent school opened in 2021, and integrates Gaelic language and culture into academics.
