Department of Education and Early Childhood Development asking for input

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is asking for your input as the update the Provincial School Code of Conduct Policy

The goal of the update is to improve how incidents of unacceptable behaviours are responded to, recorded and tracked.

The Departments have already consulted with school staff, School Advisory Councils and partners including the Public School Administrators Association of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Teachers Union to hear what they wanted to see in an updated Policy.

They now looking for student, school staff, family, partner and community feedback on the first working draft of the updated policy.

The online consultation will be live until Sunday, November 17.
