Snowfall warning for northern Inverness County

Parts of the Quad Counties could be in for their first taste of winter over the next couple of days.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for northern Inverness County.

Forecasters said up to 25 centimetres of snow could fall over the Cape Breton Highlands.

Rain is expected today and tonight near the coast, with snow over the Highlands.

On Monday, wet snow or rain is expected along the coast, and heavy snow is expected over the Highlands.

The weather agency said you should consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
