Breakdown of Quad County voter turnout

I took my 11 year old son with me yesterday when I cast my vote in the Provincial election.

Growing up, I can’t remember my parents talking to me about elections or the voting process so I wanted to show him how easy it is.

We have 4 ridings in our local area, below is a breakdown of voter turnout in each.

Inverness:

Voter turnout: 49.04%

PC Kyle MacQuarrie elected, getting 57.67% of the votes cast

Richmond:

Voter turnout: 61.78%

PC Trevor Boudreau elected, getting 70.81% of the votes cast

Guysborough/Tracadie:

Voter turnout: 51.02%

PC Greg Morrow elected, getting 77.45% of the votes

Antigonish:

Voter turnout: 52.79%

PC Michelle Thompson elected, getting 64.86% of the votes
