4 Cape Breton boxers going to Brampton Cup

The Richmond Warriors Boxing Club is sending a team to compete in an Olympic-style tournament in Ontario.

The local fighters are scheduled to leave for the Brampton Cup on Wednesday.

According to the Barra Head club’s social media, Matt Cavanagh, Luc Aucoin, Zack Lafford and Matt Kyte will fight in matches from Thursday to Sunday.

The club says they don’t know the exact times yet, but they’ll try to go live or post videos after on Facebook. There will also be pay-per-view livestreaming on the tournament’s website.

Last year, Coach Kyte won the gold in the super heavyweight division at the Brampton Cup.
