Parts of N.S. bracing for heavy rain Thursday

It is going to be a rainy Thursday across much of Nova Scotia.

A rainfall warning is out for the Atlantic coast and Cape Breton, as well as Antigonish and Pictou counties.

Between 25 and 50 millimetres of rain could fall between Thursday afternoon and continuing into Friday.

Environment Canada says the frozen ground has reduced ability to absorb rainfall, and it could lead to localized flooding and water pooling on roads.

They say significant snowmelt is expected, so be sure to clear storm drains and gutters if you can.
