Mooseheads, Eagles ready for Q playoffs

Nova Scotia’s QMJHL teams are ready to start the playoffs.

Both the Halifax Mooseheads and Cape Breton Eagles will begin their first round series in Quebec on Friday.

The Mooseheads are major underdogs against the defending league champion Drummondville Voltigeurs.

The Eagles should be in a close series against a team that finished just two points ahead of them, the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

That series is also a rematch from last year’s third round matchup, which the Drakkar won.

Around the Q, the first place Moncton Wildcats start against Quebec, Charlottetown faces Memorial Cup host Rimouski, and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan start their last ever playoff run in Chicoutimi.
