Inverness County sends thoughts to B.C. after Lapu-Lapu tragedy

Hearts are with British Columbia, all the way from Cape Breton.

Municipality of Inverness County Warden Bonny MacIsaac says they’re sending deepest condolences to the Filipino community after last weekend’s tragedy.

A man drove through a crowd at the Lapu-Lapu Festival, killing 11 and injuring dozens more.

MacIsaac says the municipality values diversion, inclusion and the strength of multicultural communities.

She calls it a senseless act that has caused profound grief and loss.
