One woman has serious injuries after an eight-vehicle collision on Quinpool Road in Halifax.
The road is closed between Oxford Street and Connaught Avenue.
At about 3:50 p.m., officers got a call about a crash near Beech Street and were dispatched to that area, according to Const. Martin Cromwell.
Cromwell says the woman was taken to hospital with what they believe are non-life-threatening injuries.
He could not provide details about the condition of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area. It’s one of the busiest intersections in the city, and traffic jams could spread to much of the peninsula.
