Northern lights could be visible this weekend

There is a chance to see the northern lights in Nova Scotia this weekend, particularly on Sunday night (June 1).

AuroraForecast.com reports elevated to active aurora conditions through June 2, indicating a good chance of visibility, weather permitting.

The weather forecast is not favorable for aurora viewing tonight (Saturday), with rain and thunderstorms expected. However, tomorrow night looks more promising.

• Timing: Aim for the darkest hours between 10 PM and 2 AM.

• Location: Choose a spot away from lights with a clear view of the northern horizon.
