Kids to learn about offshore wind in Cape Breton

Our next generation of engineers and innovators have a chance to learn about renewable energy this weekend in Richmond County.

COVE and a Belgium-based non-profit will hold Offshore Wind 4 Kids at Point Michaud Beach on Saturday.

Children will get to build mini turbines and test them on the water.

This free hands-on educational event will be offered in two one-hour sessions at 11:00 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m.

The rain date is August 16th at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
