July 22 Beach Report (Inverness Beach is CLOSED due to dangerous conditions)

IMPORTANT: Inverness Beach is CLOSED due to dangerous and unsafe surf conditions. The beach will likely remain closed all day as conditions are worsening as the day goes on. Lifeguards will remain on site but will not be on the beach at all times. There are 7ft waves.

 

 

In Inverness, there’s sun and clouds, the air is 19, the water is 20, there is a strong north west wind and 7ft of surf

In Port Hood, there’s sun and clouds, the air is 19, the water is 21, there is a moderate north wind and 0.2m of surf

In Pomquet, the conditions are rough – there’s sun and clouds, the air is 19, the water is 20, there is a strong north west wind and 1 meter of surf. If you have mobility issues lifeguards advise against entering the water

In Bayfield, it’s sunny, the air is 21, the water is 17, there is a moderate north west wind and wind chop on the water

In Point Michaud, it’s sunny, the air is 19, the water is 14, there is a moderate north west wind and 0.2m of surf

With rough conditions at numerous sites, lifeguards advise the use of extreme caution when entering the water today. If you choose to swim, please remember the safest place to swim is in the supervised area between the red and yellow flags.
