Power back after outage affected thousands in N.S.

Power is back on after an earlier outage affected nearly 5,000, Friday night.

According to the utility’s outage map, the affected area stretched from the Amherst area through to Advocate Harbour and Bass River.

The cause was a transmission interruption.
