Dr Shrestha is leaving Port Hawkesbury – what does that mean for his patients?

I have been lucky enough to have a family doctor for my entire life. Unfortunately it looks like that may change on March 5.

Dr Shrestha, who took over for Dr Collins, will be leaving his family practice in Port Hawkesbury next year.

Below, you can read the letter that was sent to his patients. It does say that recruitment for a replacement is ongoing so there may be a chance we won’t end up on the Need a Family Practice Registry.

That list is now sitting at 84,069 people as of September 1 (down 3810 since August 1)
