Man charged for fire department break-in

A man has been charged after a recent break and enter at a fire department in Guysborough County.

The theft occurred at Seven Communities Volunteer Fire Department on Hwy. 344 in Hadleyville on October 12.

Backup fuel and donated prizes for their grand opening were taken, while essential tools and equipment needed for firefighting were not damaged or missing.

On November 20, RCMP arrested 27-year-old Brent Chisholm of Summerside, Nova Scotia.

He is charged with break and enter and was released by police on the condition to attend Antigonish Provincial Court on January 28.
