Road to Avonlea Convention in PEI this summer

If you are of a certain age (or discovered the show after it aired) Road to Avonlea likely holds a special place in your heart.

The show aired from 1990 to 1996. The plot was based around Sara Stanley (Sarah Polley) who was a young girl that was sent to live with her relatives in Prince Edward Island in the fictional town of Avonlea in the early 1900’s. The show was loosely tied to books from Lucy Maud Montgomery.

This summer, the first Road to Avonlea convention will be held in PEI. There will be panel discussions with actors and crew members from the show and family members of Lucy Maud Montgomery.

There are various levels of tickets available including VIP which will give access to a reception with cast and crew from Road to Avonlea. Platinum ticket holders will also tour filming locations from the show and have an exclusive tour of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s home.
