It will become easier to get around Port Hawkesbury this year.
The Granville Street bridges are expected to be repaired in the warmer months, according to the Town’s Water Resource Development Project Manager’s presentation at Tuesday’s Committee of a Whole meeting.
Jason MacMillan says they plan is to award the tender by mid-March with repairs beginning as early as April.
However, he says the construction company may want to wait for dryer months in June to September.
Repairs will replace the broken pier cap, timber, braces, and fasteners.
