RCMP in Antigonish seize cocaine, paraphernalia and fake ID

The Antigonish‑Guysborough RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit has seized cocaine and laid charges following the execution of a search warrant in Antigonish.

On January 28, officers searched a residence on Highland Drive as part of a drug‑trafficking investigation.

During the search, police seized cocaine, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a fake Ontario driver’s license bearing the suspect’s photo under another name.

The operation involved support from the Pictou County Integrated SCEU, the Inverness‑Richmond SCEU, the Antigonish County District RCMP and the Inverness County District RCMP.

A man has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine), Trafficking (cocaine), and Uttering Forged Documents.

He has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Antigonish Provincial Court on May 13.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing and are encouraging anyone with information related to drug activity to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
