N.S. doctor waitlist falls by over 2,500 since Feb 1

Nova Scotia’s doctor waitlist has gone down.

As of March 1, there were over 2,500 less people on the ‘Need a Family Practice’ list, it stands around 63,000.

That’s about six percent of the population.

The drop accounts for new additions, removals, or because they no longer need a provider for different reasons.

Nova Scotia Health says enhanced reporting is coming in April using data from January onward.
