Three groups with ties to the Quad Counties were up for Juno Awards this weekend.
In pre-ceremonies on Saturday night, Alvvays won Alternative Album of the Year for “Antisocialities” and was also nominated for Group of the Year.
“Rove” by Coig and “The Willow Tree” by Antigonish’s Cassie and Maggie were nominated in the Traditional Roots Album of the Year category.
The Televised 2018 Juno Awards take place in Vancouver at 9 p.m.
