Our family doctor recently left the area and as a result, my husband, son and I find ourselves without a family doctor. We we were notified he was leaving, we added names to the Need a Family Practice Registry.
I recently went to confirm that we are still on the list, you can do that here (or add or remove yourself)
After entering our Health card #, names and DOBs, I got this message:

If you get the same message, I discovered there are a few reasons for this message but it usually means something in the record doesn’t match or needs to be verified in the system. It’s pretty common and usually not a problem with your place on the list but rather they need to verify something before displaying your details online.
When you call 811, they can typically fix it in a few minutes by confirming:
• Name
• Date of birth
• Health Card number
• Address
After that, the lookup tool usually works normally.
If you have to call, mention all the family members in your household that need a doctor, they can often link your household together so if one of you gets a doctor, the rest may be offered the same clinic.
