A local cheerleading athlete is celebrating a world championship after helping Team Canada capture the World Cheerleading Championship on Thursday in Orlando, Florida.
Luke MacDonnell, who trains with Atlantic Cheer Academy in Port Haweksbury, was part of the Canadian squad that competed against elite teams from around the globe, making the title a major achievement for both the athlete and the Country.
