Roadwork continues on Bay Street in Antigonish

The Town of Antigonish is letting drivers know in advance that the construction on the Bay Street Project is continuing.

The work is happening at the east end of Main Street starting on the evening of Sunday, May 3 and going until the morning of Friday, May 8.

There will be traffic control in place from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. while the roadwork is happening.

Mayor Sean Cameron says the work started last year to replace water and sewer infrastructure to support the growth in the area.

After daytime roadwork caused chaos last fall, the Town is keeping this roadwork to evenings and overnight.

They apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience as they finish this project.
