It’s McHappy Day! Here’s how you can support children’s charities

Each year, on McHappy Day, McDonald’s donates a portion of the proceeds from all food and beverage menu items towards Ronald McDonald House and other local children’s charities. McDonalds in Antigonish & Port Hawkesbury will also be supporting St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation.

Over the past 32 McHappy Day events, over 111.3 million dollars has been raised, supporting more than half a million families since Ronald McDonald House opened its doors in Toronto, ON, 45 years ago.

There are lots of easy ways to show your support and make an impact on McHappy Day:

▪ Every purchase all day on Wednesday, May 6, supports families staying at Ronald McDonald House across Canada, and other local children’s charities

▪ You can pick up your favourite food and beverage items in-restaurant, at the Drive-Thru or through the McDonald’s app

▪ If you order on the McDonald’s App can also make a donation to Ronald McDonald House every day, including on McHappy Day

▪ You can choose to Round Up your order to the nearest dollar and donate the difference

▪  McHappy Day socks are available in four different designs featuring McDonaldland® characters for $6+tax, you can pick up your pair in-restaurant, at the Drive-Thru, through McDelivery or via the McDonald’s app

▪ You can purchase a McHappy Day Heart either in-restaurant, at the Drive-Thru or through the McDonald’s app by donating either $2, $5, or $10
