Nova Scotia named Canada’s most generous Province

If there’s one thing Nova Scotians consistently prove, it’s this: generosity runs deep here.

A recent look at charitable giving across the country, from canadahelps.org, highlights something pretty special – Nova Scotia isn’t just participating in giving, it’s leading the way!

In fact, we’ve been recognized as the most generous province in Canada, with more people donating (per capita) than anywhere else in the country!

What makes this even more remarkable is that Nova Scotia doesn’t top the charts in income levels. Despite that, people here continue to give, often more consistently than in wealthier parts of the country.

There’s a strong culture of helping neighbours, supporting local organizations, and showing up when it counts. Whether it’s fundraising for community initiatives, contributing to local nonprofits, or helping out in times of crisis, that spirit shows up again and again.
