Water conservation ends in Whycocomagh, boil advisory continues

If you are on the Whycocomagh water system, you no longer need to conserve water, however, the boil advisory remains in place

Inverness County says although there has been some progress on testing results, they are still working to fix the issue. It went into effect May 22 due to a discolouration.

The municipality is trying to help by providing drinking water at the Whycocomagh Volunteer fire department.

This includes four litres of water per person, with a maximum of three per household.

  • One-person household: one jug (4 litres)
  • Two-person household: two jugs (8 litres)
  • Three or more people: three jugs (12 litres)

If you need help with water pick-up, please call Public Works at 1-866-258-0223, option 4.

Other arrangements can be made to pick up water, May 29.
