Painting missing from Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre

A piece of artwork was removed from the J. Franklin Wright gallery at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre without permission.

The Civic Centre will be reviewing of video footage to assist in identifying the individual who’s involved.

They ask the person who has it to do the right thing and return the artwork.

“An incredible amount of volunteer time, care and effort goes into our curated art exhibits, along with the dedication and talent contributed by the artists themselves,” says the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre in a Facebook post.

“We remain hopeful this matter can be resolved quickly and respectfully. However, if the artwork is not returned, this matter will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further action.”

They say they appreciate everyone’s support to help protect and respect public art spaces.
