After launching a contest to name its German Shepherd puppies, Nova Scotia’s RCMP officially has a new member of the team.
Banjo has been participating in regular training sessions with the Police Dog Service team since April, when she she was about eight weeks old.
Officers say she’s in her imprinting phase, where she’s forming a strong bond with her trainer, building confidence, and learning foundational skills.
Banjo got her name from Mahone Bay’s Noah Hobson, who won the RCMP’s 2026 Name the Puppy Contest.
