Gillis, Catherine “Anne”, 81, of the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish passed away peacefully on Sunday July5th. 

Born in Cheticamp, she was the daughter of the late Roderick and Amelia Rose (MacAdam) Gillis.

Anne worked in accounting in the Boston area for many years, returning to Nova Scotia in her retirement.  She regarded herself as a quiet person, enjoyed reading, playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her bothers: Allan, Dunmore; Archie, Margaree Forks; Michael, Australia; sisters: Mary, Whitehorse; Amelia Rose, Halifax, Anita in U.S. and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Mac Gillis.

A funeral service will be held in C.L Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Friday July 10th at 10:00am with Reverend Danny MacLennan presiding.Burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Margaree. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.  Online condolences: www.clcurry.com
