Two youths are dead, and another was seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash in Lilydale.
Lunenburg District RCMP say emergency crews were called to Highway 324 around 6:40 a.m. Saturday.
Police say a Ford Bronco was travelling southeast when it left the road and hit a tree.
The youth driver and a youth passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third youth in the vehicle was taken to hospital by EHS LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
Highway 324 was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing with help from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
RCMP say their thoughts are with the victims’ loved ones.
