A former Nova Scotia MP has passed away at the age of 89.
Elmer MacKay represented the people of Central Nova for more than two decades.
He was the father of another former MP, Peter Mackay. In a post on X, Peter says his father was “called home”.
Premier Tim Houston says he was one of Pictou County’s greatest representatives.
