Body found at recycling facility in Bayer’s Lake

Police are investigating after the body of a 50-year-old Halifax man was found in a truck that showed up at a recycling facility in Bayer’s Lake.

On August 19, at approximately 2:20 p.m., police responded to a call on Chain Lake Drive where they say the body of an adult man was located. Officers have confirmed the body arrived at the facility in a truck that collected materials from commercial containers throughout Bayers Lake and Halifax.

As of August 20, there are no further details, including the cause and manner of death.

At this time, the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has completed an autopsy, and HRP says the death is not believed to be suspicious.
