Gas prices set to drop as interrupter clause activated

Nova Scotia drivers will see a drop in gasoline prices overnight as the interrupter clause is activated.

Regular gas is set to fall by about 5.5 cents a litre, bringing the minimum price to roughly $1.94.

Diesel prices are not changing and will remain around $2.62 a litre.

The interrupter clause allows fuel prices to be adjusted outside the normal weekly schedule when there is a significant change in market conditions.

The new gasoline price takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.
