Does Making Tea in a Microwave Make Me a Bad Person?

I came across an article about a really hot button subject that I read with interest.
Is it ever OK to microwave your tea?? The article suggests the answer to that is a HARD NO.

So dramatic.
I’m going to confess my sins to you: While I prefer tea made in a kettle, i’m so guilty of microwaving my tea occasionally. Sometimes I just want a quick cuppa!

OK, so what is the problem with making tea in a microwave? First of all, pretty much everyone in Britain will be disgusted with you.

Second of all, researchers say (yes, there are people that study this type of thing) in a microwave, the electric field that acts as a warming source causes the liquid to end up different temperatures at the top and bottom of the cup. A good cup of tea is all about getting uniform temperature throughout your water

If you’re heating water on the stove, the heating source warms the container from below. This results in a uniform temperature throughout the container which is important because a uniform water temperature is needed for the dried tea leaves to expand, unfurl, and start brewing.

This may sound mundane, but if you are going to have a cup of tea, it should be be as good as possible, right? (still gonna nuke my tea #sorrynotsorry)
