Officials with the federal government have announced funding for members of an Antigonish-based group.
Sean Fraser, the MP for Central Nova, announced a $25,000 grant for Arts Health Antigonish (AHA!).
The announcement was made at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home Monday.
Fraser says the program intends to build off the 2016-17 pilot Art Canopy Program, which provides music, poetry, visual arts and pottery for seniors who have dementia.
He says the funding will help grow the program and hire new artist facilitators.
