SAERC principal says incident with students and parent led to police investigation

School officials at SAERC say police were called after an incident involving students and a parent took place Wednesday.

A letter was sent to parents and guardians from Rob Allen, the school’s principal, informing them of the lunchtime incident.

Allen says they called RCMP after four students and a parent were involved in the incident; there were no details relating to the circumstances.

Police and school officials are investigating.

Wednesday was grade eight orientation day at the school.

Allen says they’re taking the incident very seriously, and they contacted parents and guardians of students involved.
