Women arrested in Inverness Co. drug bust scheduled for trial

A suspect in an Inverness Co. drug bust is expected back in court Wednesday.

Rachel Phillips, 46, of We’koqma’q faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and cultivation of marijuana.

Phillips, who entered not guilty pleas in August, is scheduled to stand trial in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court.

RCMP say officers seized marijuana, oxycodone tablets, drug paraphernalia and cash when they searched a We’koqma’q home in Feb. 2016.
