Newfoundland men arrested following Port Hastings bust have case adjourned

The case of two men from Newfoundland charged in relation to a drug bust in Inverness Co. has been adjourned.

RCMP say officers made a traffic stop on Hwy. 105 in Port Hastings in March.

They say they seized 10 pounds of marijuana and 100 grams of shatter, a highly potent form of cannabis resin.

David Bruce Huxter, 58, of Little Bay and Carl Walter Jacobs, 64 of Deer Lake each face a pair of possession for the purpose of trafficking charges.

Huxter and Jacobs were scheduled for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; instead, the hearing was adjourned until Dec. 18.

It was also adjourned five other times.
