Inverness Co. internet tower honours long-standing residents

A newly-installed internet tower in Inverness Co. has been named after some of the community’s long-standing residents.

MacInnis Tower in Skye Glen was named after an online competition earlier this year.

It honours some of Skye Glen’s longest standing residents- the new tower is also on previously-owned MacInnis land; its goal is to improve internet service to roughly 400 residents in Centreville, Nevada Valley, Brook Village, Skye Glen, East Skye Glen and Stewartdale.

An official launch takes place Thursday afternoon.
