Suspect in Island Hemp bust has case adjourned

A man arrested after officers searched a marijuana storefront in Port Hawkesbury is scheduled to return to court in February.

The search at Island Hemp on Granville St. took place in September.

Police say officers seized cannabis marijuana, cannabis marijuana products and cash.

The case of Michael Tyrrell, 35, opened in court in October; he was scheduled for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; instead, the hearing was adjourned until Feb. 8.

It was also adjourned in December.
