Suspect arrested during vehicle stop has case adjourned

The case of a man charged after a vehicle stop in Antigonish Co. has been adjourned.

Police say officers arrested a man and a woman during an Aulds Cove stop in November.

They say they seized dexamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Logan Brophy, 25, of Mulgrave and Kristin Smith, 26, of Frankville face possession for the purpose of trafficking charges.

Their cases opened in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court in December; Brophy was expected for a status update in Antigonish Provincial Court Wednesday.

The hearing was adjourned until July 18.

Smith, who entered a not guilty plea in June, is scheduled to stand trial Nov. 26.
