The Pomquet Acadians visit the St. Andrews Flyers for a pair of games in the AGR.
The Acadians (4-2) are second in the five-team league, a game behind Heatherton for top spot, and a game ahead of third-place Guysborough; the winless Flyers (0-3) are tied with St. Joseph’s for fourth, a game-and-a-half back of Guysborough for third.
It’s the first action between the teams.
The first game of the double-header gets underway at 7 p.m.
The 44th annual Billy Kennedy Memorial Fastpitch Tournament gets underway at Drysdale Field as part of Guysborough Come Home Week.
The Guysborough Broadhorns, who are hosting the six-team tournament, open play against the Eskasoni U23 team at 7:30 p.m.
The preliminary round continues Saturday, and wraps up Sunday; the top two teams advance to the championship game Sunday afternoon.
