Lawsuit filed in Margaree Chase the Ace dispute

Barb Reddick has taken the first legal step in the Margaree Chase the Ace dispute.

Adam Rodgers with Boudrot-Rodgers says he filed a lawsuit on behalf of Reddick in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury Thursday.

Rodgers tells The Hawk he also filed a motion for preservation order to prevent the prize money awarded to Tyrone MacInnis from being spent or transferred; that motion will be heard Aug. 10.

He says MacInnis was served with the lawsuit Thursday night.

Two names were on the $1.2 million winning ticket July 11- Reddick’s and MacInnis’, her nephew.

She has said she only put his name on the ticket for good luck, and she wants all of the jackpot.
