Suspect in Inverness Co. vehicle checkpoint scheduled to return to court

A Shubenacadie man charged following a vehicle checkpoint in Inverness Co. is expected back in court Tuesday.

RCMP say they laid drug charges after officers found cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle in Mabou in September.

The case of Dwight Barkhouse, 34, opened in court in October.

Barkhouse, who has elected a Nova Scotia Supreme Court trial by judge and jury, is scheduled to resume his preliminary hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court after it got underway in March.
