A new skate park is coming to Antigonish, the park will be a partnership between the town and county of Antigonish, StFX and the Antigonish Skate Park Association.
Officials say it will be built on StFX land across from the former municipal building on West Street.
They say they will approach governments for funding and also fundraise in the community.
Officials say the park should cost about $700,000.
They say the park could be completed by this time next year.
An association member says the park has been 30 years in the making.
