Price of gas up ahead of long weekend

Pump prices have climbed heading into the Labour Day long weekend.

The price of gas increased 2.7 cents during the regular price adjustment at midnight, which means the new range for a litre of regular self-serve in the Quad Counties is between $1.25.9 on the low end, and $1.28.9 on the high end.

It’s the first increase after three straight weeks of drops in gas prices.

Diesel is also up, as much as four cents a litre; that means the new range in the Quad Counties is between a minimum of $1.25.5 and a maximum of $1.28.5.
